Entrepreneurial Leadership Training Program

Mission

The mission of the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program is to provide intentional and individualized support for the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. Through coaching and leadership development, Entrepreneurial Leaders learn agility, resilience, and strategic thinking in order to prepare them to navigate the innovation economy and lead transformative change.

High-level foundational content around Innovation and Commercialization

Mentorship

Mentorship with people that have previously executed in the entrepreneurial space

Coaching

Coaching to ensure project milestones are on track to being met

Individualized Project Plan

Project plan is developed collaboratively with the commercialization manager and innovators


Impact

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Training Program provides students with valuable skills and opportunities:

  • dedicated time to devote to progress the commercialization of the solution

  • access to mentors and subject matter expertise to support the commercialization of the solution

  • developing the skills and confidence to lead the commercialization efforts of the solution

  • better positioning of the solution to be successfully commercialized (whether by startup or licensing)


Eligibility

University of Kentucky Graduate Student, Postdoctoral Scholars

University-developed Innovation

Current participant, or successful completion of UAccel Quick Start + I-Corps Program

Ability to devote 10hrs/week to commercialization

Meet Our Commercialization and Entrepreneurial Leadership Fellows

Our Fellows represent a select group of undergraduate and graduate students that are passionate about driving innovation forward and translating academic research outcomes into impact. Upon completion of our programs, our students are successfully positioned at the intersection of academia, industry, and entrepreneurship with intentionality around developing their knowledge, skills, and networks in the innovation space.
